A project begun in the winter of 21/22 to chase away the blues of having no work on the horizon, when Meg and long time collaborator, composer Jane Wells, sat outside the Forum in Norwich, watching people passing in the square below and Jane came up with the idea of making a piece about what we were watching, with imagined meetings and unexpected juxtapositions. The film was selected for and shown at the 2023 Lowestoft Film Festival
Bearing a passing reference to a story from Italo Calvino’s Invisible Cities that we have been inspired by in the past, Jane’s soundscape uses the human voice, and Meg’s figures are somewhere between shadow puppets and animation models. Lighting/animation by LED-torch.
