Adapted from a true story of the long life and many loves of Margaret Fountaine, an extraordinary Norfolk woman with an adventurous spirit. Born in 1862, she saw the ending of the Victorian mania for collecting things, and was part of the modern era of conservation. A great traveller and avid collector of butterflies (and men!), she recorded everything in her secret diaries, which she illustrated with photographs, drawings, and mementos of her encounters.
