A trunk is found in a dusty old attic; a trunk that will be unlocked for the first time in over 100 years. Inside are stories from the New World, of battles lost and won, of adventure and revolution, tall ships, trade routes, and a young daughter left behind.
Based on the real life story of Mary English, a 19th century adventurer and business woman, whose letters now form part of the National Archive. Her portrait hangs in the National Portrait Gallery among the revolutionaries.
