Puppet
Workshops with Nutmeg Puppet Company
Themes:
 The Rainforest - shadow puppets
Ancient
Egyptians - shadow puppets
(15 minute puppet-show demonstration available with both shows)
Wild
puppets - rod puppets using natural materials
Rubbish Monsters - hand puppets made from re-used/junk materials
(Demonstration puppets with both workshops)
Circus shadow or rod puppets
Mexican Day of the Dead - shadow puppets
Length:
One session minimum 2 hours - making puppets
Two sessions on same day (2 x 2 hours) - creating a story, making puppets & performing a short show
For:
Young people in schools:
A class (7 years up) and their teacher, plus one Nutmeg workshop leader
per class, & any other classroom-assistants, helpers/parents you
like to provide
(We can work with up to four classes)
Children in other groups or at community events:
20 ( 7yrs up) to each Nutmeg workshop leader with at least 2 supervisors
or assistants, plus parent helpers. Younger children only with parent/guardians
Adult groups: e.g. art/drama students, environmental workers, people
in care settings, hospitals, day-centres, prisons etc.
Inset Sessions: in-service sessions for teaching staff as stand-alone
sessions, or prior to workshop visits.
We can also tailor-make workshops to suit your group.

Workshops come
with teachers' notes & lists of materials & tools you may
require. We provide a basic toolkit and special materials.
Price: per workshop
leader : 1 session @£90. 2 sessions on 1 day @£180 plus
travel expenses @ 40p.per mile and any materials expenses.
